If you’re planning to attend NASCAR at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) for the first time, get ready for an unforgettable weekend packed with high-speed thrills, live music and unbeatable entertainment. Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your experience at this world-class motorsports venue.

What to Expect at NASCAR at COTA

NASCAR at COTA takes it up a notch this year with the new 2.4-mile, 17-turn National Course. This layout replaces the previous 3.41-mile, 20-turn Full Course, adding even more intensity to the race.

The EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) race now features 95 laps and 228 miles with stages at 20, 40 and 95 laps. The Focused Health 250 NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) race increases to 65 laps and 156 miles with stages at 20, 40 and 65 laps.

This reconfigured track brings exciting challenges – with tighter turns and faster speeds – that will push drivers to their limits. The result? Heart-pounding action, strategic racing and the kind of unpredictability that makes this a race you won’t want to miss.

Plan Your Arrival

COTA is located just outside downtown Austin, Texas. Free parking is available, and for a premium experience, you can reserve a spot in Lot A. These limited paved spots are right behind the Main Grandstand and just a short walk to the Grand Plaza, offering the ultimate convenience. Arrive early to explore the venue, grab a bite to eat and find your perfect viewing spot.

What to Bring

Stay comfortable and ready for the action! Pack sunscreen, a hat and comfortable walking shoes. Bring a clear bag for personal items, as COTA follows a clear bag policy. Don’t forget ear protection – those engines get loud!
